'Accordions' and 'Toggles' are the names given to parts of web pages that can display multiple sections of content.

The information can use different titles and types of content. The content can include text, images and/or videos. 'Accordions' close the previous section when the next section is clicked. 'Toggles' open, and keep open, whatever section is clicked. Try them below:

Accordion – Only One Section Open at a Time:

This section shows how different parts of a page can be “toggled” open or closed by a simple click. Other sections show how one portion of the page can default to the opened position with no action required on the part of the site visitor. Accordions and Toggles conserve space on a page and allow a lot of information to be displayed in a compact format.

Toggles – Multiple Sections Open at a Time:

The previous section showed that when one section of the page was opened, the previous section closed, conserving screen display space. This area of the page shows that as each new section is opened, the previous section can remain open as well. The page then displays more and more content as each section is clicked to open.
