Jordan Valley Community Health Center’s newly opened Behavioral Medicine Clinic in north Springfield provides patients with mental health services and primary care in one convenient location. Dr. Carlos Ceniceros, Jordan Valley’s head psychiatrist, founded this clinic. It was housed in formerly Jordan Valley Dental offices before they relocated across the street. Jordan Valley and Springfield-Greene County Health Department have joined forces to fund and staff the Jordan Valley Behavioral Medicine Clinic, serving both Medicare and Medicaid patients and those on sliding fee programs. Parents now have an alternative to taking their students out of school for doctor’s appointments, thanks to the partnership between JVCHC and Springfield Public Schools. School nurses will identify children who require assistance before connecting them with providers through telehealth for treatment.
